The Cold Harbor Road
Commitment to Evangelism

  1. Under the leadership of our elders, the Cold Harbor Road church of Christ is committed to fulfilling the "Great Commission" as given in Matthew 28:19-20.
    "19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."
    We are committing those resources necessary to do everything we can, within our abilities, to take the gospel into all the World. From the pulpit, individually and collectively we will use whatever scriptural means that are available to us to carry out this "Great Commission" and any individual who can be involved, as an evangelist resource.
  2. We are committed to train the membership of this congregation in soul winning ways and techniques. Our membership will be provided constant and continual opportunities to enroll in our evangelism class to equip themselves for every good work. They will be given every opportunity to conduct Bible Studies and we will give appropriate support and help to those who are conducting studies in the field.
  3. We are committed to keeping the saved, saved; from the pulpit, through visitation, follow up lessons, love and fellowship.
  4. We are committed to helping our sister congregation in whatever way they feel we can help, such as conducting classes and seminars on how to conduct Bible studies.
  5. We are committed to evangelizing with the pure and simple Gospel of Jesus Christ in it's purest form teaching only God's imperative and without the innovations of man.

If you live in the Richmond area and would like to have some of the members of Cold Harbor Road come into your home and have a Bible Study please e-mail us with your name, address, phone number and other pertinent information you think we might need. We offer several FREE home Bible study programs which are:

  • The Open Bible Study -- Workers study with you from your very own Bible to see if we can discover God's truth for man. (Anyone wishing to purchase the OBS for their own study or teaching may contact Rick Alexander at 1-800-447-4096.)
  • The Jule Miller Video Tape Series - This beautifully done series of video tapes consists of five lessons wherein the student is taken from creation through God's Plan for redeeming man.
  • We also offer a FREE eight lesson Bible correspondence course which the individual can complete in the privacy of his or her own home. The lessons are self-guided, although you may contact us at any time for assistance.

If you are a former member of the church of Christ but have turned away from you first love, let us talk with you about returning to Christ's church.
