Missions

The church of Christ at Cold Harbor Road takes seriously Christ's Great Commission, to take the Gospel to all parts of the world. We provide support to a number of missions in the United States and abroad.

	Galway Church Of Christ, Galway, Ireland - This is a link to the Web site for the prospective mission effort of Ryan and Kelly O'Rourke to Galway, Ireland.  Their sponsoring congregation will be the West Fayetteville church of Christ who will send them to Galway, on the West coast of the Republic of Ireland. 	International Gospel Hour, Fayetteville, TN - This radio broadcast provides scripturally sound Bible lessons by Winford Claiborne.  It airs more than 300 times a week on 170 stations heard nationwide and in parts of Canada and Mexico.  It airs in Richmond on WRVA, AM 1140, on Sunday mornings at 8:00 a.m.  For more information and schedules, you may visit the Web site at: http://www.gospelhour.net
	Peninsula Church of Christ, Hampton, VA - The Peninsula church is a relatively new congregation.  Ben Phillips currently preaches for them.  They have recently bought a building in which to worship after several years in a rented room in a local hotel.  They are an active group with door knockings, gospel meetings, and Bible studies ongoing.
	Seaside Church of Christ, Nags Head, NC - The Seaside church worshipped for several years in a rented building and has recently purchased land on which to build their building.  Donnie McGhee is the preacher there.  They are blessed with many seasonal visitors due to their location in a "tourist spot."  They are a hard working group of Christians actively trying to build the Lord's church in this area.
	Memphis School of Preaching, Memphis TN - The Memphis School of Preaching is an intensified collegiate program of preacher training operated by the Knight Arnold church of Christ. The School holds an annual Preaching Lectureship that drew approximately 1,000 participants in 1997. The School can be contacted at (901)362-5139.
	East Tennessee School of Preaching, Knoxville, TN - The East Tennessee School of Preaching And Missions has been training sound, balanced gospel preachers since 1971. It is overseen by the Karns church of Christ. On average, about ten students graduate per year. (865)691-7411.
	Brown Trail School of Preaching, Bedford, TX - The Brown Trail school is overseen by the Brown Trail congregation and they may be reached at (817)268-3222.
	Apologetics Press, Montgomery, AL - The AP staff specializes in lectures and writings in the field of apologetics and Christian evidences.  Their material is excellent for personal study or teaching sources. 	Latin American Missions - Ministry in Panama began in 1958. Since then, the Latin American Missions have reached all the nations of Central America, as well as Columbia and Peru. The Bible School of the Americas was started in 1964, and has trained over 300 men to preach the Gospel in Latin America.  This work is under the oversight of the Forrest Park church in Valdosta, Georgia.  Their Web site is: http://www.ForrestPark.org
	Truth For The World is sponsored by the Duluth Church Of Christ in Duluth, Georgia. They provide Bible Correspondence Courses worldwide with many participating congregations helping in the mailing and grading of these courses. They also provide Internet courses, radio programs reaching every major continent, and television programs seen in the U.S., Canada, Zambia, and Nigeria. Their web site is http://www.tftw.org.
	Thailand Bible Literature Program is overseen by the Salem Church Of Christ in Florence, Alabama. They provide Bible literature to the people of Thailand in their own Thai language. They also provide Bible Correspondence Courses to the Thai people. They have a goal of one million in enrollment and as of October 2001, had over 800,000.
